I became an Appointed Governor representing mental health in 2018.
Bromley, Lewisham & Greenwich Mind has had appointed governor representation on Oxleas' Council of Governors since 2018.
I have worked in the Health and Social Care sector (in the NHS, Local Authority and Voluntary Sector) for over 25 years and I am currently employed as the Head of Services for Bromley, Lewisham & Greenwich Mind. I have considerable experience of working within Mental Health, Drug and Alcohol services, Children and Young People and Dementia Services.
A key role has been to work effectively with organisations, commissioning and contract teams to ensure high level performance and quality in the delivery of services.
I hope to be able to make a positive contribution to the work Oxleas undertakes and I'm sure I will find the role interesting.
I have a keen interest in a number of sports, still like to play/compete and time permitting will pop across to the odd game at Selhurst Park.
If I hadn’t travelled down this career path, my dream would have been to make a living from either music or sport.
