About me

The experiences I have got through living with mental health and disability with my family, friends and myself for many years, still inspires me to drive forward to help more people in similar situations to move forward positively.

I joined Oxleas as a patient volunteer in 2009. I am a member of Oxleas' ResearchNet looking at various services to help improve the service delivery for patient care including through Experience Based Co-Design (EBCD).

Why I became a Governor

I would like to make a productive difference for everyone in Oxleas on all levels, to hear all view points and ideas and to respectfully help non-judgementally. Feedback is a very valuable source to see what is happening and the difference it is making for everyone. To meet people in Oxleas to listen to their ideas and to hear the great differences they are making in their lives.

Governors play a very important role of support and help to drive forward the momentum to future success of patient care service delivery. Attending and participating in all types of meetings, trust activities, working with people in different backgrounds and cultures, connecting and making a real difference.

My interests and hobbies

I have many other activities and interests in mental health and surrounding issues. I am a Bexley College student representative to strategic management, Adult Learning Disability. I support Easy-Read, innovative health inventions, computer custom engineering and maintenance configuring and automotive engineering.
