I became a Public Governor representing our Public members who live in the Bexley borough in 2018

Governor: Sue Hardy

About me

In my hugely varied career I have travelled the world as a singer/entertainer, worked with 2 members of Parliament at the House of Commons and for 9 years, ran a successful theatrical agency providing specialist entertainment for care and residential homes, hospices, etc.

For 12 years I was Treasurer to the Trustees of the Grand Order of Lady Ratlings Cup of Kindness, a registered showbiz charity. I am the Secretary of the Chislehurst Women's Institute at the moment. I am retired!

Why I became a Governor

I previously served 2 terms as a Patient Governor with Guy's and St Thomas's NHS Foundation Trust and I want to give something back by way of assisting Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust as a Public Governor. I am already involved with Oxleas as a member of the Patient Reference Group from its inception for the Guy's Cancer Centre at Queen Mary's Hospital. This is ongoing. I became a governor at Oxleas as it is in my local area and anything I can do to assist the trust in their endeavours will be wonderful.

My interests and hobbies

Theatre, especially musicals. Reading, crosswords, gardening, ballet class, animals - cat owner.
