Sharon Rodrigues, Adult Learning Disability Services

I’m a Staff Governor, representing staff members in our Adult Learning Disability Services. I’ve been a Governor since 2018.

Governor: Sharon Rodrigues

About me

I have worked at Oxleas for 12 years, starting within the Communications Team. I then moved to Atlas House for three years and now currently work across the six teams in our Adult Learning Disability Services directorate as Patient Information Lead.

Why I became a Governor

As an Adult Learning Disability Services Governor, I would like to share the person centred approaches implemented by learning disability staff. This approach earned them their ‘Outstanding ‘status for caring by the Care Quality Commission. I would like to share best practices at trust level and enable a platform for staff voices to be heard. Attending Governor meetings will allow me to share trust initiatives with staff, whilst ensuring staff are listened to, in order to support them to work in a productive and fulfilling way.

My interests and hobbies

I enjoy gardening, playing tennis and listening to music.
