Recognition Awards 2019

2019 staff recognition awards for menu

Outstanding work and achievements were celebrated when we hosted our 2018/19 Recognition and Long Service Awards on 10 July at The Valley, the home of Charlton Athletic Football Club. We received hundreds of nominations from across our services and this year’s winners were announced in front of more than 300 colleagues, patients and carers at a special presentation ceremony at The Valley.

Matthew Trainer and Executive Directors were joined on stage by Simon Fanshawe, broadcaster, writer and co-founder of Stonewall UK, as they presented awards to our brilliant winners and runners up in each category.

Our amazing V’Ox choir, not only won the Health and Wellbeing Champion award, but also performed a wonderful and moving set, with many of the audience joining in with them.

Matthew Trainer said: "There’s such a great atmosphere here today. It really makes you proud to be part of Oxleas. These awards are so well deserved. Our staff work hard to deliver the best care - often in very challenging circumstances - so to take a step back, recognise that, and show your appreciation is really important."
