Pulmonary Rehabilitation

Pulmonary rehabilitation is a seven week exercise programme, designed specifically for people with chronic lung disease who find they are becoming more breathless with daily activities.

The exercises are designed to help people cope with feelings of breathlessness and help improve fitness levels. The programme also involves educational sessions delivered by a wide range of healthcare professionals. You will benefit by learning more about your lung disease and ways to stay fit and healthy.

Pulmonary rehabilitation classes are run twice a week at the Waterfront Leisure Centre in Woolwich and the Eltham Centre. For more information please ask your GP or practice nurse to see whether it is appropriate to refer you for the course.
