Black History Month celebrated online

Black History Month Banner

The work or achievements of black people is celebrated every October as Black History Month. Now on the Oxleas website we give you a glimpse into the lives and work of several of our own high achieving black employees, which you can read here.

There are featured interviews, including one with Mercy Browne, Oxleas Nurse of the Year. Mercy came to the UK from Ghana back in 1989, and describes how she was treated with nothing but kindness upon arrival.

Also featured are Navinda Jittu and Mary Aku Arhin, 2009 Staff Recognition Award winners, who reveal how their work as Atlas House cleaners is often very rewarding.

More interviews and features will appear in this section in the near future, so please keep checking for updates.
