Staff from Oxleas child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS) have teamed up with Partnership Projects to organise a conference with international speakers, which will take place on the 7th and 8th April 2011, at the University of Greenwich in London.

The conference will focus on the innovative Non Violent Resistance (NVR) techniques which are used in Bexley and Greenwich CAMHS, and will feature presentations ranging from the ‘New Authority’ to some of the most recent applications for anxiety, entitled dependency, paediatric illness, different ways of using the ‘sit-in’, and a child focus in NVR. It will be of interest to any professionals wishing to find out more about NVR.

The invited speakers are Haim Omer (Israel), Uri Weinblatt (USA), Barbara Ollefs (Germany) and Peter Jakob (UK), whilst Jim Wilson, a leading UK family therapist, will moderate the plenary panel.
