Staff in the pink for fundraising day

Friday 28 October was Wear it Pink Day and people across the trust rose to the occasion in style, donning shocking pink wigs and an imaginative assortment of fuchsia, rose and salmon coloured apparel.

The event is organised annually by the charity Breast Cancer Campaign to raise funds to support its research projects (currently numbering over 100 and worth over £17.2 million) that are working to save and improve lives and, ultimately, find a cure for breast cancer.

Collections were taken at various trust sites – the suggested donation was £2 - and additional money was raised by the sale of delicious cakes (pink of course) at Pinewood House and Oxleas House.

A whopping £220.34 has been raised so far but you can still donate until Friday 11 November – contact Louise Holmes or Sue Swainsbury in the Chief Executive’s office on 01322 625 770.
