The 10th anniversary of the opening of The Source was a bit of a horror show yesterday. Luckily that was the intention as they held a Halloween themed party in nearby Horn Park Community Centre.

Lead Nurse Manager Bridget Lawrence, who has been at the walk-in clinic for just a few months, told us: “I wanted to celebrate 10 years of The Source and also mark the start of a new era. It was great fun and lovely to meet so many people from the local community."

Bridget and colleagues transformed the centre's hall into a truly eerie sight and their creative efforts paid off as lots of local families turned up and enjoyed the half term event. Healthy Halloween-themed snacks were available including wonderful 'satsuma-kins' as well as a wide range of craft activities, games and face painting, all for free.

The Source is a nurse-led walk-in centre offering a range of services including healthy living, contraception and sexual health, minor illness, wound care and childhood vaccinations. The service is mainly used by people living in Horn Park and surrounding areas. However any Greenwich resident or person registered with a Greenwich GP is able to drop-in without an appointment and receive treatment.
