Healthwatch Greenwich is officially here

Healthwatch Greenwich was officially launched recently at a packed event held at the Woolwich Centre.

Rosaline Mitchell, Healthwatch Greenwich Manager welcomed everyone and introduced the new team - Laura Luckhurst, Voice and Information Officer, Clive Mardner, Community Development and Engagement Officer and Sarah Coleman, Advice and Signposting Officer. Chair, Leceia Gordon-Mackenzie then explained how Healthwatch Greenwich will work to help local people get the best out of their health and social care services, whether it's improving them today or helping to shape them for tomorrow.

Healthwatch Greenwich is all about local voices being able to influence the delivery and design of their services, not just for the people who use them, but anyone who might need to use them in future. She also talked about the proposed focus for Healthwatch for the coming year: joined up working for health and support services; changes to the hospitals (specifically the forthcoming merger of University Hospital Lewisham and Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Woolwich); and adult mental health services - people's views are welcomed on these proposals. They have replaced the Greenwich Local Involvement Network (LiNK).

Healthwatch Greenwich is based as The 10 Centre, 29 Tarves Way, London SE10 9JU. You can call them on 020 8305 5008 (main office), 020 8305 5007 (signposting), or email For more information visit
