Our School Nurses and Health Visitors launch an exciting app for parents and young people (demo)

Our school nurses and health visitors have joined forces to promote our latest innovation.  Introducing our School Nurse Matters and ProParent App, aimed to deliver helpful advice and information to parents and young people.

The teams have been meeting with youngsters and parents across Bexleyheath and Woolwich, offering QR code cards, key rings and information on how to use the app and its content.

Each app will have a different user focus, for example, the School Nurse Matters app will offer information on the following topics:

  • Bullying
  • Sexual health
  • Puberty
  • Emotional and wellbeing
  • Domestic violence
  • Ask a question to a nurse and more.

Users will be able to browse various sections privately, meaning all your searches are confidential and clear from storing any history.

The ProParent will offer information on the following topics:

  • After delivery
  • Immunisation
  • Behaviour
  • Feeding and emotional health
  • Dental health
  • Parenting and more.

Users will be able to use this app to support their parenting and to widen their knowledge.

So far we have had a great response to downloads since its first event last week, with current downloads at 120+ for the School Nurse Matters and 800+ for the ProParent app. No doubt this number will grow with further planned events and school assembly launches in the near future.
