The AMM is here

The O2 Arena, Greenwich

The doors open at 9am for our Annual Members’ Meeting (AMM), with the event once again being held at the IndigO2 at the O2 in Greenwich.

One of the highlights of our AMM is always the annual Staff Recognition Awards. This year will be no different and in each category a winner will receive £500 and a runner up £200. All of the shortlisted teams or individuals will receive a certificate.

The categories are: Having a User Focus; Leading and Inspiring; Excellence; Being Responsive; Learning; Partnership and Safety.

On the entertainment front we can look forward to a performance from Taru Arts, a Brazilian arts group consisting of four drummers and two dancers who will engage the audience with a 'carnival' themed performance. Taru will also be offering a drumming workshop following their performance and after the awards ceremony.

Sensoma will be providing a number of complimentary therapies on the second floor of the IndigO2. This will consist of holistic therapies such as massage, Reiki, reflexology, sound and colour therapy and Indian Head massage.

Also on the agenda there’ll be a performance from 'Singing for fun' the choir from Age UK Bromley and Greenwich, consisting of people with dementia and their carers. In addition, Animal Days Out, will be bringing a selection of small animals and lizards to promote animal therapy.

The AMM starts at 9am when the doors will open for registration. After that, guests will be free to visit the exhibition zone. The formal part of proceedings begins at 11.45am, during which time we’ll hear from guest speaker and former member of our staff, Dr Geraldine Strathdee, National Clinical Director of Mental Health, NHS England. The Staff Recognition Awards ceremony will begin at 12.50pm.
