This Wednesday: Free health advice, checks and your wellbeing kit

Members at AMM on the children's services stall

A free health check and wellbeing kit is on offer for Oxleas members who join us at our healthcare event this week.

Service users, their carers and any other members are welcome at the event being held on Wednesday 2 December in Charlton. And if you're not an Oxleas member, come along on the day and join us.

The wellbeing kit will include a pedometer, a BMI heart tape measure and a room temperature gauge plus a range of health and wellbeing advice and information.

Health checks will include:

  • Nutrition and Dietetics are offering: Measuring weight, height, BMI and waist circumference.
  • Cardiac Care are offering: BP check.
  • Diabetes (adults) are offering: Weight and height check, and will calculate BMI.
  • Kick The Habit (CACT, our associate member) are offering: lung age tests and carbon monoxide readings and advice.

If you're not already a member, come along and sign up on the day to get involved, learn about the trust and have your say on future change.

Supporting people's physical and mental wellbeing is a key priority and the focus will be on long-term conditions, signs and symptoms, with the aim of giving visitors information and advice on how best to self-manage them.

The event will take place at Charlton House, Charlton Road, SE7 8RE from 1pm - 3pm.
