Changes to our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) in Greenwich were showcased at a successful launch event.

Healthcare professionals from across Greenwich were invited to our newly-refurbished Market Street premises in Woolwich to learn more about the changes and how they will continue to improve our children's services.

One of the major changes is the introduction of a Single Point of Access telephone number (SPA).

This will be the referral management centre for all appointments, advice and support for a range of children's services which include CAMHS universal and specialist services across the borough.

Patients will no longer need to call different sites, teams or wards to get updates they need - the SPA will hold all information.

The new SPA number is 020 8836 8621 (Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5pm).

This will make it easier for patients as well as staff to keep records up to date and ensure patients can see them when they need to.

Lesley French, clinical director of children's services, said: "It’s important that our partners within healthcare know the current choice of services we provide, so that they can make referrals and get the right help for their patients.

“The event enabled us not only to highlight the changes, but also how to access them.

“This was a really nice event and a great networking opportunity for us to share our new-look services which will take us into 2016.”
