We are pleased to announce that, following approval by our Council of Governors, Andy Trotter OBE QPM will be our new Chair. Andy is due to take over from Dave Mellish when he retires from the role on 31 October 2015.

To enable a smooth transition, Andy will be working with Dave from September 2015 and will spend time getting to know staff, governors, local partners and the services we provide.

Andy, 63, is a highly skilled leader in public services and has over 40 years' experience in policing. His most recent role was as Chief Constable of the British Transport Police and he has also worked with both the Metropolitan and Kent Police services.

Andy is looking forward to taking up the role:  "I am very pleased to be joining Oxleas and am looking forward to working with a great team," he said.

The Chair appointment was recommended by our Nominations Committee which involves elected and appointed Governors.  It was ratified by the full Council of Governors on 19 March 2015.
