Self-help website for young people

Headscape

We have launched a new self-help and referral website for young people struggling to cope with mental health issues.

HeadScape provides a 'one stop' source of self-help about a range of mental health issues that may be affecting children and young people. It was created by Oxleas and young people and designed for maximum compatibility on iPads, smart phones and PCs.

Young people can take an online screening test and, if they are Greenwich residents, send a self-referral directly into Greenwich CAMHS (child and adolescent mental health services).

HeadScape is also a great resource for health professionals who can use the online questionnaire to make referrals and signpost young people to further information. And parents and carers can access the site for information and support about specific issues.

HeadScape is very simple to use and everything from the name, design, colour scheme, icons, language and navigation has been developed with groups of young people. Carefully designed guidance and messaging throughout the site helps explain what to do in an emergency, how referrals work and the age restrictions that apply.

Visit HeadScape, browse and see for yourself.
