Oxleas appoints new CEO

Following approval by our Council of Governors today, Ben Travis has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Oxleas.

Ben, who has been our Acting Chief Executive Officer since September last year, takes up his new role with immediate effect.

He succeeds Stephen Firn, who retired at the end of March after 13 years as CEO.

Ben brings significant experience to the role. Prior to being appointed Acting Chief Executive Officer, he was our Director of Finance for four years. He has held previous senior positions within both the NHS and business services sector.

Following his appointment, Ben said: “We are one of the most highly regarded mental health and community services trusts in the country, with a dedicated and professional workforce. I am honoured to have the opportunity to lead the trust and continue to work with my colleagues to help deliver the high quality services for which we are known.”

Andy Trotter, Chairman of Oxleas, has welcomed Ben’s appointment as CEO. He said: “I can think of no one better to lead the trust. I look forward to continuing to work alongside Ben and other colleagues in taking the trust forward."
