Sexual health services in Greenwich are changing

Sexual health services in Greenwich are changing from 1 October to make it even easier for people to access these services in a way that suits them best.

Opening hours are being extended at our main walk-in sexual health clinic in Market Street, GSH Central in Woolwich, to include evenings and Saturdays. Further information on opening hours at GSH Central and other sexual health services available in Greenwich can be found at: www.greenwichsexualhealth.org

The changes are being made following feedback that people would prefer treatment for non-complicated sexual health issues within the community and away from the hospital environment. As a result of this, the Trafalgar Clinic at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Woolwich will become a referral only service.

Keith Soper, Director of Adult Community Health Services, said: “These changes will continue the modernisation of sexual health services in Greenwich and to put into action what we have been told by patients about when and where they would prefer to be treated. A comprehensive and easily accessible service will remain in place with additional options available for a face-to-face consultation if desired.”

The updates to these services will take effect from Saturday 1 October 2016. Further information and a timetable of services can be found on the GSH Central page.
