Farewell to Lead Governor Raymond Sheehy

Raymond Sheehy Farewell

Colleagues gathered this week to say goodbye and thank you to Raymond Sheehy who completed his role as Lead Governor at the annual members’ meeting.

Raymond, who is Chief Executive of the charitable organisation Bridge, joined Oxleas as a partnership governor nine years ago and became lead governor in 2011. He has been a very active lead governor representing Oxleas at events across the country and sitting on the national panel advising foundation trust governors.

At his leaving event, Chair Andy Trotter thanked Raymond for his hard work and support.  “You have made a real difference and have made Oxleas a place for others to visit to see Council of Governors working well in action,” he said.

Andy presented Raymond, who is a keen amateur chef, with a leaving gift of an apron made by service users at the Bracton Centre.

The role of Lead Governor has now been taken on by Richard Diment, partnership governor for Bexley Council.
