Oxleas staff survey

Staff survey results

Thank you to everyone who took part in our annual staff survey – the results of which are published today.

What colleagues have told us is that they think our safety culture and safety in the workplace have improved.   Staff engagement, quality of care and support from managers all remain higher than average. The areas where staff would like us to make improvements include supporting equality and diversity, improving staff health and wellbeing and tackling bullying and harassment. Many more Oxleas staff took part in this year’s survey – an increase of 7% which is really positive.

"Thank you to everyone who took part in the survey," said Matthew Trainer, Chief Executive. "It really helps us to understand the areas where action needs to be taken. Looking after our staff is vitally important. We know that we can only deliver great care if staff are supported effectively."

Feedback will be analysed within directorates so that local plans can be developed and trustwide plans will be taken forward to ensure that colleagues feel supported in their career whatever their background.

"We will build on the work we already have underway to ensure equality for all, tackle bullying in the workplace and improve staff wellbeing," said Meera Nair, Director of Workforce and Qi. "We know there is more to do and will be working with staff groups across Oxleas to make the improvements colleagues would like to see."

Everyone working at Oxleas was asked to share their opinions and 1,715 members of staff did so (49%). Read the full report here.
