Choir on song for Mental Health Awareness Week

News: 1st NHS Choirs Concert

Our in-house choir, V’Ox, will be in fine voice when they take part in a concert as part of Mental Health Awareness Week.

The theme for this year’s week, which runs from 13 to 19 May, is body image and new research is due to be published on some of the reasons why this can impact on the way we feel.

The concert, which will feature a number of NHS choirs, is due to take place on Thursday 16 May at Unison HQ in Euston Road, London from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.

Each of the seven choirs invited will sing for around 10 minutes and those who go along on the night will be asked to make a charitable donation.

Service users and staff are welcome to attend.

Choir lead, Jacqui Pointon said: “We were delighted to be invited to sing and are looking forward to supporting Mental Health Awareness Week.”

If you would like to go along, please let Angela Boon know by emailing her: angela.boon@Candi.nhs.uk
