Join us to celebrate Learning Disability Awareness Week

News: Learning Disability Awareness Week 2019

This year’s Learning Disability Awareness Week takes place from Monday 17 to Sunday 23 June and the theme is all about sport and inclusion.

We're proud to provide a wide range of learning disability services across Bexley, Bromley and Greenwich and will be supporting the week with an event of our own.

All our service users are leading a host of activities to help us celebrate all that is good, have fun and meet friends.

Come along and join us on Thursday 20 June, at Bexleyheath Sports Club, Parkview Road, Bexleyheath DA16 1SY from 11am to 3pm.

As part of the awareness week, charity Mencap would like as many people as possible, with and without a learning disability, to get involved in sporting activities in their local communities.

Sport and physical activity can reduce loneliness and isolation, improve health and wellbeing and help challenge negative views towards those with a learning disability.

If you would like to go along to the event, please call 0208 269 3300.
