Welcome to Oxwide – view our first broadcast

News: Oxwide

This is the first of our Oxwide webcasts – a new way for us to share news and helpful tips and information with our colleagues at Oxleas.

Oxwide will be broadcast every fortnight, featuring a mixture of live chat and recorded interviews, highlighting what’s happening within Oxleas. We’ll also be sharing stories from the people who work for us and those who we care for and making each broadcast available to members of the public too.

In our first instalment, we spoke with colleagues about the changes they've had to make during the pandemic and what this has meant for them. In addition, Matthew Trainer, our Chief Executive, visited Resuscitation Officer, Nicola Stacey, at Queen Mary's Hospital in Sidcup for a training session in how to safely resuscitate someone.

Lee Christie, our Head of ICT, along with colleagues Sue Horbury and Reena Jamieson from our Clinical Transformation Team, joined us to talk through how our technology has had to develop at speed and we also spoke to Karen Kennedy from our Performance and Information Team.

There was also an insight into our PPE hub from those who are staffing it and ensuring vital orders are getting out to colleagues via a clear and simple process. Rashpal Kaur and Rod Hough tell us how they have adapted and responded to changes as they go, making sure that we never ran out of supplies during these unique and challenging times.
