Have you got what it takes to be a governor at Oxleas?

News: Governors

Our 37 governors come from all walks of life. Their common ground is an interest in Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust.

Elected governors play a vital role in making sure that the views of the wider community are taken into account in developing our services. They also hold the trust’s non-executive directors to account and represent the interests of our members.

Being a governor is voluntary and the minimum commitment is attendance at Council of Governor meetings four times a year.

In this short film, our current governors share whey they became governors and how they have found it beneficial.

Why not join our Council of Governors by standing as a governor in this election? Nominations are now open.

We are looking for people who:

  • Are a member of Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust
  • Are aged 16 years or over
  • Are interested in the NHS
  • Have some time to spare, particularly during the day
  • Are able to commit to being a governor and all it involves for their term of office
  • Are able to commit to attending Council of Governors' meetings four times a year
  • Want to help the trust by seeking members’ views and feeding these back.
