COVID-19 vaccination update

News: Matthew Trainer Vaccine visit

We’ve had a fantastic response from colleagues to our COVID-19 vaccination programme, who are all keen to take their first step towards immunisation.

All 900 appointments at our first few days of clinic were quickly fully booked, with a 100 per cent attendance rate.

On the first full day of clinic on 14 January 2021, Chief Executive Matthew Trainer went along to our vaccination site at Queen Mary’s Hospital in Sidcup to see how things are going.

We are expecting another batch of vaccines in the next few days and staff will be able to book an appointment for their vaccination as soon as we have had confirmation of delivery.

Patient-facing, clinical staff and our clinically extremely vulnerable members of staff are encouraged to book their appointments first. We also have arrangements in place with neighbouring trusts for our staff to be vaccinated at their hubs.

Members of the public will continue to receive their vaccinations via primary care hubs and will be contacted individually with appointment details. More information is available at www.nhs.uk/covidvaccine.
