Oxleas Global Nursing Conference 2021

News: Global Nursing Conference

We’re excited to be sharing innovation internationally when we host our first ever global nursing conference on Wednesday 17 March 2021.

With nursing at the forefront of peoples’ minds at the moment, due to the global pandemic, there is no better time than now to share our skills and knowledge on the international healthcare stage.

Our inaugural Oxleas’ Global Nursing Conference will take place virtually and be broadcast live on:

Wednesday 17 March 2021 - 9.20am to 1pm (GMT)

It will bring together healthcare experts from the UK and Kenya to cover a range of topics and share learning and knowledge.

The event is the idea of Moses Mulimira, a substance misuse worker at HMP Thameside and Isis. He has called on the expertise of his contacts in the UK and in Uganda and Kenya to promote nursing as a career to a global audience, across many continents.

Keynote speakers will include the former chief executive of the NHS, Lord Nigel Crisp, Dr Fleur Kitsell from Health Education England, representatives from the Ministry of Health in Kenya, Kenya University of Nairobi and University of Greenwich. Matthew Trainer, Chief Executive of Oxleas, will also be giving a presentation on nursing at Oxleas.

Director of Nursing, Jane Wells, said: "I am really excited about this event. It is an amazing opportunity to get together on an international platform to share expertise and a wealth of learning and grow our global workforce together."
