The deadline for applications to join our fantastic team of governors is almost here.

Nominations close tomorrow (Wednesday 9 June 2021) at 5pm.

Our 38 governors come from all walks of life. Their common ground is an interest in Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust.

Why not join our Council of Governors by standing as a governor in this election?

Elected governors play a vital role in making sure that the views of the wider community are taken into account in developing our services. They also hold the trust’s non-executive directors to account and represent the interests of our members.

Being a governor is voluntary and the minimum commitment is attendance at Council of Governor meetings four times a year.

We have a number of vacancies for both service user/carer, public and staff constituencies, so you can apply for an area which particularly interests you. Terms of office are for three years.

We are looking for people who:

Are a member of Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust
Are aged 16 years or over
Are interested in the NHS
Have some time to spare, particularly during the day
Are able to commit to being a governor and all it involves for their term of office
Are able to commit to attending Council of Governors' meetings four times a year
Want to help the trust by seeking members’ views and feeding these back
