Safeguarding Adults Week - show your support

News: Safeguarding Adults Week 2022

This week is Safeguarding Adults Week – a time for organisations to come together to raise awareness of important safeguarding issues.

Our Safeguarding Adults and Safeguarding Children teams work closely with local authority partners in Bexley, Bromley and Greenwich to enable organisations and individuals to feel confident in recognising signs of abuse and neglect and recording and reporting safeguarding concerns.

Each day of the week (21 to 27 November) will feature a different theme:

  • Monday – Exploitation and County Lines
  • Tuesday – Self-neglect
  • Wednesday – Creating Safer Organisational Culture
  • Thursday – Elder Abuse
  • Friday – Domestic Abuse in Tech Society
  • Saturday/Sunday – Safeguarding in Everyday Life.

A number of activities organised by NHS England and our local safeguarding boards are taking place throughout the week, including conferences and workshops for NHS and local authority staff to take part in.

Get involved and show you support on social media using the hashtag #SafeguardingAdultsWeek.

Further information about the week can be found here.
