Election to the Council of Governors (2018/19 by-election)

These by-elections are now closed.

Our 37 governors come from all walks of life. Their common ground is an interest in Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust.

Why not join our Council of Governors by standing as a governor in this election? Being a governor is voluntary.

We had vacancies in the following Constituencies:

Public Constituency - Bexley

We had a vacancy for a governor representing our public members living in Bexley. This governor position will join our existing Public Bexley governors Sue Hardy and Joseph Hopkins on our Council of Governors.

Service User/Carer Constituency - Children interest group

We have a vacancy for a service user/carer governor representing our Children interest group. This is a new governor position, joining our existing governor Fola Balogun in this interest group.

Could you be a Governor?

Elected governors play a vital role in making sure that the views of the wider community are taken into account in developing our services.

We look for people who:

  • Are members of Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust
  • Are aged 16 years or over
  • Are interested in the NHS
  • Have some time to spare, particularly during the day
  • Are able to commit to being a governor and all it involves for the next three years
  • Are able to commit to attending Council of Governors’ meetings four times a year
  • Want to help the trust by seeking members’ views and feeding these back
