Adult Learning Disability Services, 10.11.20

On 10 November 2020, we enjoyed a virtual visit to our Adult Learning Disability Services.

We were welcomed by Lorraine Regan, Service Director for Adult Learning Disability Services (and Bromley Services) and colleagues from this trust-wide directorate.

We learned about the five service areas. At Goldie Leigh there is Atlas House providing inpatient services and TOPs and Tall Trees day services. There are also three Community Learning Disability Teams serving Bexley, Bromley and Greenwich.

The following Governors attended

Marc Goblot, Service User/Carer Governor, Greenwich Adult
Margaret Cunningham, Public Governor, Bromley
Sharon Rodrigues, Staff Governor, Adult Learning Disability
Kara Lee, Partnership Governor, Bexley Mencap

The Can I Understand It? group

Our Governors said...

"Just to thank you for arranging and for the opportunity to hear more about the work going on."
Kara Lee, Partnership Governor, Bexley Mencap

"
This was a very useful presentation, and seemed to hit the right level for newcomers like me, and for colleagues with more experience. It was very good to see the enthusiasm, energy and dedication of Lorraine's staff as they shared their solutions to new COVID 19 challenges and beyond.  I learnt a lot."
Margaret Cunningham, Public Governor, Bromley

"
It was good to hear from the ALD team."
Marc Goblot, Service User/Carer Governor, Greenwich Adult
