Staff Recognition Awards 2012

The Recognition Awards were presented at our Annual Members' Meeting on 26 September 2012 in categories based on our six values with one additional category for Leading and inspiring. In the year of London's Olympic and Paralympic Games winners received gold, silver and bronze medals as well as prize money of either £500 (gold), £200 (silver) or £100 (bronze).

We received 311 nominations in total from service users, carers, members, staff and colleagues in partner organisations which made choosing the winners particularly hard.

The awards were judged by a panel including Bob Bedwell, Service User/Carer Governor; Stephen Brooks, Public Governor; Maggie Grainger, Staff Governor; Sally Jacobson, Non Executive Director; Stephen Firn, Chief Executive; Keith Miller, Patient Experience Lead; Rachel Evans, Director of Estates and Facilities; Russell Cartwright, Head of Communications; and Lynda Town, Head of Operational HR.

The Having a user focus - care and compassion category was judged by representatives from our User and Carer Council and Local Involvement Networks (LINks).
