My mother is currently in Meadow View and this is her second admission within the past 3 years. The rehabilitation unit is an extremely effective, caring , responsive ward / service. The services provided are extremely person centered and concentrated on each individual patient.
Every service and department needs to be complimented including the carers, nurses, occupational therapist's, activity organisers, domestic and kitchen staff. The meals are well planned and the ward is extremely clean.
In addition the senior staff, including the ward sister Sandra are especially helpful if there is a concern of care , I spoke with Sandra today in fact with a minor concern for advice and the matter was dealt with immediately.
There is also a home visit arranged prior to my mother retuning home to check aids and adaptions, which also is extremely helpful.
Myself and my family have nothing except thanks and appreciation to you all for your care of my mother. Thank you to you all.

Hello im contacting you regarding my mum whos in hospital but could do with more rehabilation on her legs as just had gurdle stone op but she has dementia and that seems to be the bug bare at the centres that would be great help to her and us my question is do you except patients with altzimers ..many thanks sophie

Dear Sophie

I am sorry to hear you mother is not able to access rehabilitation services. Patients are assessed as to whether they have the capacity to understand and follow the care plan. This does not necessary mean patients with dementia are excluded. If you can contact me on 0208 301 9437, I can put you in contact with a member of staff from the most appropriate team who can discuss with you your mothers needs.
