As part of our directorate's patient experience work, we have established a Service User Experience Group. This group meets monthly and has representation from various teams. Alongside this group is the 'Can I Understand This?' group which consists of service users.
A service user survey has been produced in an easy read format, enabling people with learning disabilities to take part in our formal patient experience programme for the first time. We are training volunteers to work with service users to help them interview people with learning disabilities, using the new form.
