Cathy noticed that her son Jake was not developing and behaving as most children his age should.
Cathy says: "After numerous visits and checks, Jake was referred to the community paediatrics service when he was six.
"Dr Rasa from the team supported us and eventually Jake was diagnosed with autism - a developmental disability that affects his communication.
"They helped us to manage Jake's condition in our own environment.
"As a family, we have had to adapt and understand Jake's condition. This wouldn't have been possible if it wasn't for Dr Rasa and the Community Paediatrics team.
"Oxleas helped us with our son's condition and supported us."
