Services A–Z

Atlas House, Adult Learning Disability - Greenwich

  • Atlas House provides care for adults with learning difficulties and needs that cannot be met in mainstream services. It is a purpose-built specialist inpatient service, based in South East London. The team can provide 24/7 support for up to 11 people.

Our service works with people who have a learning disability together with complex or challenging behaviour, mental health needs, and neurodevelopmental needs.

Atlas House is divided into four flats. As a result, our team can provide care in a single-sex environment, when necessary.

We use a multidisciplinary approach to support patients at Atlas House. This means we work with other teams and agencies to provide care. For instance, we work with:

    • GPs
    • Substance misuse services
    • Third sector agencies
    • Acute trusts
    • Social care.

Patients can ask their family or carer to be involved in their care. This ensures they can share their views regarding the patient’s care and treatment.

  • Reception phone number: 020 8319 7112

To access this service, you must:

  • Be aged 18 or above.

Referrals

There are two referral processes to Atlas House. One for patients from South London Partnership (Bexley, Bromley, Greenwich, Lambeth, Lewisham, and Southwark). And one for all other referrals.

Referrals are accepted from a Responsible Clinician (RC) using the Atlas House referral form.

All ECR referrals should be made to the Atlas House RC, by the patient’s Consultant Psychiatrist. They should be supported by a completed referral form sent to the Atlas House Matron or Ward Manager.
