Early Intervention in Psychosis Team Greenwich

The Greenwich early intervention team (EIT) works with people aged 14 - 35 who have presented with a first episode of psychosis.

The team aims to get involved as early as possible during the critical period of the illness to provide support to service users and their families.

Their work includes providing education about psychosis, enhancing the development of effective coping strategies, providing support and advice on medication, support to get back to work or education, individual and group - based psychosocial interventions from a cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) perspective, relapse prevention and support with drug and alcohol issues.

Oxleas Patient Experience survey

The Oxleas Patient Experience survey gives you the opportunity to feedback on the care and treatment you have received. We also encourage your friends, family and carers to also provide feedback. Hearing your views gives us a better understanding of the needs of our patients, families and carers which helps us to make sure that we are providing a good standard of care.

The short survey only takes a few minutes to complete and you can provide a written comment explaining what you think is working well and what is not. The Patient Experience team will collect the results of the surveys and these are shared with the relevant departments and management teams. This helps us to shape our services to continually improve the quality of the care and treatment we provide.

I would like to thank the Greenwich Psychosis team based at Ferryview for all their support over the last 2 years to me as a family member. Their main priority of course was their patient but I was included as soon as possible and felt there was always someone I could talk to and I was listened to - this is in complete contrast to the care I received in another part of the country before we transferred to Greenwich.
So thank you to everyone involved. You have made a huge difference.

Dear Pat

Thank you for your kind message which we will pass on to the Team. We strive to provide high quality care to our patients and we appreciate your feedback. If you would like to talk through your subsequent experience with the services please can you get in touch with Alex Greenchester on 0208 269 4146. Thank you again for your feedback.

Dear Early intervention Team,

I put an inquiry in as to whether it is possible to change care co-ordinators and maybe psychologist as well?

Dear Hana

Thank you for your comment. I will contact you to review your request and discuss any potential changes with you.

kind regards
