At Oxleas, we offer a wide range of health and social care services to people living in south east London, parts of Kent and in prisons in south west England. This includes community health care such as district nursing and health visiting, care for people with learning disabilities and mental health care such as psychiatry, nursing and therapies. Our multidisciplinary teams look after people of all ages and we work in partnership with other parts of the NHS, local councils and the voluntary sector.
Our 4,000 members of staff work in many different settings such as hospitals, clinics, prisons, children’s centres, schools and people’s homes. We manage hospital sites including Queen Mary’s Hospital, Sidcup and Memorial Hospital in Woolwich as well as the Bracton Centre, our medium secure unit for people with mental health needs. Our prison health services cover Kent, south London including HMP Wandsworth and south west England.
We are organised in six clinical directorates:
We have developed our values through discussions with our staff, patients and local people about what our priorities should be and how Oxleas should deliver excellent patient care and improve lives.
They have emerged through open and honest conversations we are having around race inequality, difference, and the things we need to change to ensure Oxleas is a great place to work for everyone. Read more about our values.
Our Nursing Strategy sets the direction for our nursing workforce's (nurses, health visitors, health care assistants and support workers) priorities. The nursing strategy is dynamic, interactive and refreshed annually with work stream outcomes clearly defined every year.
