Our team are based in 7 centres across Greenwich, where most of our Early Years appointments take place. When you have an appointment, you’ll be given the full address and contact details of the place the appointment will be held.
If there’s anything you need to bring to the appointment, you’ll be advised beforehand.

You will be sent details of your first appointment by letter and email. Any follow up appointments may be arranged directly with you, by phone, by email or by letter, depending on your preference.
Sometimes you may be asked to bring things with you for your child. This may be medication, equipment, food or favourite toys depending on the type of appointment you have.
If your child wears glasses or hearing aids, please bring these with you. If your child has any reports or recommendations from services outside of Oxleas, it will be helpful to bring these with you.
Please arrive at least 5 minutes before your appointment. The appointment will last between 30-60 minutes.
The therapist, technician or assistant will explain everything during your appointment, if you have any questions please ask. You are likely to be given activities and strategies to do at home with your child.
Home visits are available for some families who can’t attend clinics due to their child’s health needs, for example, if they are medically unwell, are on oxygen, or have compromised immune systems. Follow up home visits may be offered where it is more appropriate to see your child in their own home, for example when conducting assessments for feeding, home environment, or specialist equipment.
We may arrange to see your child in their nursery. We will let you know when we plan to see them and how the visit went.
For some children with very complex needs, we may arrange for multiple therapists, from Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Dietetics to assess your child at the same time.
If you cannot make your appointment, you need to rearrange or you no longer need the appointment, please let us know by calling 020 8836 8612 option 2. If you do not attend your appointment and you do not let us know, your child may be discharged from the service.
If you have any questions please contact us on 020 8836 8621, option 2.
