Sophy Proctor works for The Youth Endowment Fund, which prevents children and young people becoming involved in violence.
Her particular interest is in the role voluntary, community, social enterprise and faith organisations can play in supporting mental health, and the way in which patient and carer voice can be embedded into design and delivery of services.
She has previously led local and national charities and co-founded a social enterprise, which worked to support better mental health in partnership with organisations across South and East London.
She has also worked in consultancy roles supporting co-production and co-design, with clients ranging from hyper local groups to NHS Foundation Trusts. She has lived experience of mental ill health and has used Oxleas services.
