
The commission will take place at Goldie Leigh Hospital, Lodge Hill, Welling, which hosts a range of Oxleas services and benefits from five hectares of nature.
The £5,000 commission, funded through our Oxleas Charitable Funds, is intended to respond to the themes of:
We would like to invite artists, activists, architects, designers and makers to submit an expression of interest by 11 August 2023, for a commission to be completed no later than 15 September 2023.
We then hope to have an unveiling and celebration in the second half of September.
If you would like to submit a project, please do so with a proposal which is two pages of A4 maximum, including a description and economy statement, a maximum of eight images and an engagement plan.

We receive documentary, location and broadcast filming requests on a regular basis – we consider all proposals on an individual basis and will try to accommodate proposals where possible, if appropriate.
No photography or filming is permitted without prior arrangement and agreement. Our patients always come first and we have a duty to protect their safety and confidentiality. Anyone found filming or taking photographs on the trust premises without the permission of the trust’s communications team will be asked to leave by the security department and may face prosecution.
Unless agreed otherwise, film crews and photographers must be accompanied by a member of the Communications Team at all times.
