We’re seeking to commission a very special art project for Oxleas NHS to commemorate 75 years of the NHS and the incredible contribution from its staff.

The commission will take place at Goldie Leigh Hospital, Lodge Hill, Welling, which hosts a range of Oxleas services and benefits from five hectares of nature.

The £5,000 commission, funded through our Oxleas Charitable Funds, is intended to respond to the themes of:

• Wellbeing to contribute to making Oxleas a great place to work
• Heritage and sense of place to highlight to the richness of Goldie Leigh’s history
• Sustainability and biodiversity to encourage the use of sustainable process and materials
• Co-production to promote service-user involvement and co-development between clients, members and staff

We would like to invite artists, activists, architects, designers and makers to submit an expression of interest by 11 August 2023, for a commission to be completed no later than 15 September 2023.

We then hope to have an unveiling and celebration in the second half of September.

If you would like to submit a project, please do so with a proposal which is two pages of A4 maximum, including a description and economy statement, a maximum of eight images and an engagement plan.
