We’re delighted to announce that Oxleas has been presented with the coveted Gold Award in the Ministry of Defence Employer Recognition Scheme, marking our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant.
The gold award was presented to us at a prestigious ceremony held in Pall Mall in London attended by Lorraine Jones, Specialist Psychological Therapist and Veteran Champion for Oxleas.
The award and recognises the work we are doing to support members of the armed forces and their families in accessing timely healthcare and supporting the employment of ex-veterans.
The gold award follows our silver and bronze awards and 2019 pledge by the trust to honour the Armed Forces Covenant. It further recognises our ongoing commitment which has included the introduction of new referral criteria. The criteria ensures any veterans seeking treatment with us are identified as early as possible.
Iain Dimond, Chief Operating Officer, said: "We are delighted to have achieved the highest Gold Award, which demonstrates our ongoing commitment to supporting our veterans and getting them the health support they need, when they need it."
