It was great to welcome faces old and new out in the communities we provide healthcare services to.
First stop on Wednesday 18 October was in Bexley borough at The Nest Library and Community Building, Thamesmead, then on to Progress Hall in Eltham for the Royal Borough of Greenwich and finally to Bromley United Reformed Church for Bromley borough.
Our Chair, Andy Trotter, welcomed the audience, Chief Executive, Dr Ify Okocha, presented our annual report and there was a financial round up from Director of Finance, Azara Mukhtar.
There was also a question-and-answer session with the audience which highlighted some of the pressures health services are facing, the increase in working in partnership and how stronger links can be made with local communities and people who use services.
In addition to the formal business of the day, marketplaces were held in each location with our services, alongside partners and stakeholders, showcasing how we are all working to make a difference for those who need our help.
Attendees were also invited to take part in table discussions around our trust strategy refresh to help us develop the next stage for our Strategy 2024-27.
Chief Executive, Dr Ify Okocha, said: “It’s lovely to see so many people who’ve made time to be with us today for our AMM."
Andy Trotter, Chair, shared news of his intention to step down from his role in 2024, and added: “It is important we hear from you on how we look forward in the coming years in what are very challenging times.
“I have thoroughly enjoyed my time as Chair of Oxleas and am very proud of what we have achieved together.”
