National lifetime achievement award for Nyree

Nyree Gledhill gold winner in the Outstanding Lifetime Contribution category of the Skills for Health's Our Health Heroes Awards

Congratulations to Oxleas children’s physiotherapist Nyree Gledhill who has been awarded a national lifetime achievement award.

Physiotherapist Nyree’s long-standing commitment, which has transformed outcomes for children and families, was recognised at Skills for Health’s Our Health Heroes Awards, where she was named gold winner in the Outstanding Lifetime Contribution category.

With more than 20 years’ experience in the NHS, including 15 years dedicated to children’s physiotherapy, Nyree has made a profound and lasting impact through her clinical expertise, leadership and unwavering compassion. As Clinical Lead for Children’s Physiotherapy, she is widely respected for her ability to deliver high-quality care while supporting and mentoring colleagues across the service.

Nyree’s work with the Greenwich Integrated Therapies Team has directly improved the lives of countless children and families, particularly those navigating complex conditions and life-limiting diagnoses. Known for going above and beyond, she provides not only clinical care but practical and emotional support - helping families access vital resources, build confidence and manage the challenges they face.

Alongside her clinical role, Nyree has driven service innovation, including leading the development of a dedicated outdoor therapy trim trail to support children’s physical development through play. She is also actively involved in research, teaching and national forums, contributing to the advancement of best practice and improving outcomes for future generations.

Faith Brooks, Operational Manager for Greenwich Children’s Integrated Therapies and Dietetics, said:

This is a significant achievement and a wonderful reflection of the high-quality work and dedication within the team, and we are very proud.
