National safeguarding award for inspirational Jenny

Learning Disability Clinical Nurse Specialist

Congratulations to Jenny Davis, Learning Disability Clinical Nurse Specialist who has won a prestigious award from the National Safeguarding Adults Board.

Jenny is employed by Oxleas, but is based at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Woolwich and has an honorary contract to Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust.

In Jenny’s nomination for the Empowerment Category, she was described as ‘inspirational’ with incredible training skills that can even ‘make the principles of reasonable adjustment not just sound essential, but actually sound fun’.

Frankie Campbell, Lead Nurse for Adult Safeguarding at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust said:

The laughter coming from the training room makes you think that students are having too much fun, but they always remember what Jenny has told them throughout their careers.

Colleagues are always reassured that with Jenny on their team, she will take the lead and provide the best possible guidance. The best teachers are always exemplary role models, and Jenny has brilliantly, and selflessly, guided generations of future nurses.’
