We are delighted to announce that Muneeza Aumir has joined our Board of Directors as a non-executive director.

A solicitor by background, Muneeza currently works for Gavi, The Vaccine Alliance, supporting the efforts of making COVID-19 vaccines available to residents of low-income countries. She has a strong interest in supporting under-represented groups having been a trustee for Elders Voice and a volunteer with Age UK and having worked pro-bono in several legal challenges relating to unlawful detention and other civil rights matters.

Andy Trotter, Chair at Oxleas, welcomed her: "We are pleased that Muneeza will be joining the board at Oxleas. She will bring a fresh perspective and a strong commitment to promoting equity in health services."

Muneeza said: “It is a great honour to be joining Oxleas. I look forward to supporting the important work that it does for the communities it serves.”

Muneeza joined the Board on 1 May 2023 taking up a three-year role as a non-executive director. The appointment was made by our Council of Governors in March 2023. She replaces Yemisi Gibbons who left Oxleas Board of Directors to take up the role as Chair of Croydon Health Services NHS Trust earlier this year.
