Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust are proud to be the largest NHS provider of prison healthcare services in the UK. We deliver all aspects of health within a prison setting, physical health, mental health, allied health services, substance misuse services, in-patient units (physical and mental health) and serve populations of men, women and young people in all categories of prison from open to high security.
We also operate within 11 other prisons – HMPs Belmarsh, Thameside and YOI Isis (Greenwich), HMPs Elmley, Swaleside and Standford Hill (Isle of Sheppey in Kent), HMPs Rochester, Maidstone and East Sutton Park (West Kent) and at Aylesbury/Swaleside Mental Health PIPE (Psychologically Informed Planned Environments).
Oxleas also delivers community and in-patient forensic services. Our medium-secure mental health hospital, the Bracton Centre in Bexley, has a number of wards supporting men and women. We also have low-secure mental health hospital wards at Memorial Hospital in Woolwich for both men and women.
The prisons joining us are in Dorset (HMP Portland, HMP The Verne, HMP Guys Marsh) and Devon (HMP Exeter, HMP Channings Wood, HMP Dartmoor).
In the autumn, we also welcomed HMPs Bristol, Erlestoke, Ashfield and Leyhill in the South West.
Ify Okocha, Chief Executive at Oxleas said: "It's great news that the Devon and Dorset clusters of prisons have joined Oxleas, I'd like to welcome all our new colleagues and I look forward to getting to know people over the coming months."
