Oxleas Pride 2026 – many voices, one front

Throughout June and July, Oxleas celebrated Pride, championed inclusion and showed support for LGBTQ+ communities across London and Kent.

From community events and Pride Month activities to our milestone 10th consecutive appearance at Pride in London and participation in Swale Pride, colleagues proudly represented the trust and our commitment to creating a workplace and services where everyone can be themselves.

This year's Pride in London theme, ‘Many Voices. One Front’, highlighted the importance of unity across generations, backgrounds and identities. It was a message reflected throughout our Pride celebrations.

Our Pride season started with Pride on the Side at The Exchange in Erith which brought local people together in a welcoming and inclusive space to celebrate LGBTQ+ communities and strengthen community connections.

In a significant milestone, on 4 July we marked our 10th consecutive year at Pride in London, one of the world’s largest Pride celebrations. Chief Medical Officer, Abimbola Fadipe, joined participants to wish them luck ahead of the parade starting. She said:

I was delighted to spend time with members of our Oxleas Pride Network as they prepared for their milestone attendance of the Pride in London parade, and to thank them for representing the trust so proudly.

Taking part in Pride events is an important way for us to demonstrate our commitment to inclusion, equality and belonging for both our colleagues and the communities we serve. Seeing our LGBTQ+ colleagues, service users and allies come together in support of our values was inspiring, and I was pleased to wish everyone a wonderful Pride.

Oxleas colleagues also supported Pride across Kent by taking to the streets for Swale Pride on 18 July to demonstrate our commitment to supporting LGBTQ+ communities across all the areas we serve.
