Oxleas wins Trust of the Year award

Oxleas NHS named as Trust of the Year in HSJ Awards 2023

Well done to everyone working at Oxleas! Last night, we won the prestigious Health Service Journal Trust of the Year award. Beating off national competition from large acute teaching and specialist trusts, Oxleas was named as the 2023 top trust.

The panel of judges said “This is a very ambitious trust who are infectiously enthusiastic about their achievements to date and future plans. The outcomes are extremely impressive and show that this is a trust that truly demonstrates best practice throughout. Their commitment to engaging staff at all levels, and their palpable connection to the communities the trust serves is inspiring.”

Members of our shadow executive, wellbeing champions, staff network and staff assembly leads were part of the Oxleas team that picked up the award. Collecting the trophy on behalf of Oxleas, Medical Director Abi Fadipe said:

“This achievement was inspired by all our staff and our patients. It means so much to be recognised in this way.”

Chair Andy Trotter praised Oxleas staff and partners, and added:

“This is a fantastic achievement and reflects the great work of colleagues across the organisation."

Ify Okocha, Chief Executive of Oxleas, said:

“I am so proud of everyone at Oxleas who has worked tirelessly to keep improving how we deliver care and support each other. It truly is a great place to work.”

Filming and photography requests

We receive documentary, location and broadcast filming requests on a regular basis – we consider all proposals on an individual basis and will try to accommodate proposals where possible, if appropriate.

No photography or filming is permitted without prior arrangement and agreement. Our patients always come first and we have a duty to protect their safety and confidentiality. Anyone found filming or taking photographs on the trust premises without the permission of the trust’s communications team will be asked to leave by the security department and may face prosecution.

Unless agreed otherwise, film crews and photographers must be accompanied by a member of the Communications Team at all times.
