
They have been piloting new wound care app, Healthy.io, which assists in measuring, recording and managing patient wounds.
Introduced in September 2025, the team have completed more than 6,000 wound assessments on 1,628 wounds, delivering meaningful impact in community wound care.
This incredible milestone was celebrated together by colleagues over lunch, who also reflected on what they have been able to achieve in such a short time. In December, at our Recognition Awards 2025, this fantastic work was recognised with two awards:

Less than six months live and the results from using this app speak for themselves. The app turns a simple smartphone into a powerful clinical tool which brings wound monitoring closer to patients, empowers carers and supports clinicians.

We receive documentary, location and broadcast filming requests on a regular basis – we consider all proposals on an individual basis and will try to accommodate proposals where possible, if appropriate.
No photography or filming is permitted without prior arrangement and agreement. Our patients always come first and we have a duty to protect their safety and confidentiality. Anyone found filming or taking photographs on the trust premises without the permission of the trust’s communications team will be asked to leave by the security department and may face prosecution.
Unless agreed otherwise, film crews and photographers must be accompanied by a member of the Communications Team at all times.
