Woundcare milestone celebrated

Greenwich and Bexley Complex Woundcare Team celebrating a milestone thanks to their new app

Brilliant achievement and a strong start to the year were celebrated in style by colleagues of our Greenwich and Bexley complex wound care and podiatry teams.

They have been piloting new wound care app, Healthy.io, which assists in measuring, recording and managing patient wounds.

Introduced in September 2025, the team have completed more than 6,000 wound assessments on 1,628 wounds, delivering meaningful impact in community wound care.

This incredible milestone was celebrated together by colleagues over lunch, who also reflected on what they have been able to achieve in such a short time. In December, at our Recognition Awards 2025, this fantastic work was recognised with two awards:

  • Adult Community Physical Health services directorate 'Great Care' award (2025)
  • Adult Community Physical Health services directorate 'team of the year' (2025)

Vikki Rawlins, Clinical Lead for Complex Wound Care in Bexley, said:

Less than six months live and the results from using this app speak for themselves. The app turns a simple smartphone into a powerful clinical tool which brings wound monitoring closer to patients, empowers carers and supports clinicians.
